The international multi-media collection of Tate Modern in London is organized around four major themes that form the framework of our study of modern arts and architecture, with full commentary and references in the English language. Any student who completes assignments is able to participate successfully. There are no prerequisites.
We study traditional Landscape in the National Gallery, Turner in the Clore Gallery, Russian and Post-Impressionists in the Courtauld Gallery, as springboard for modern concepts of Landscape in Tate Modern, which include new explorations of Matter and Environment, the world we live in. The other three themes of Tate Modern follow a similar continuum of study, from the past to the modern, as does our study of architecture, from classical forms of our museums, reinterpreted in modern extensions, to new technology and materials, realized as new textures and shapes.
