Registration Help

Your two essential tools for registration are the Schedule of Classes and your MyUMUC portal. The Schedule of Classes can provide you with a listing of all the courses offered for a particular session. The schedule also indicates where and when classes are being held. You may search the Schedule of Classes by location, session, or subject. Once you have found the classes you want, please make a note of the five-digit class number — this will be used to process your registration in MyUMUC.

Some important terms:

Class Number:
five-digit number listed in the Schedule of Classes (e.g., 89006)
Subject:
four-letter designator for course (e.g., ENGL)
Course Number:
three-digit number of the course you’d like (e.g., ENGL 101)

How do I Register?

  1. Log into your Student Portal
  2. Select My Academics
  3. Select Registration/Enrollment
  4. Select Registration/Enrollment
  5. Choose the term for which you’d like to register
  6. Select Add Classes
  7. Input the Class Number into the box for any classes for which you’d like to register.
  8. Choose the grading option for each of your classes. [Graded will be a regular letter grade (A-F scale). You may also choose Audit or Pass/Fail.]
  9. Double-check to be sure all information is correct
  10. Click Submit
  11. Check the success of your registration in the “Add Status” column.

A successful registration will say “Success.” There may also be messages here, to alert you that you are repeating a course or that your selected section was full and that you have been placed into another section. If the status says “Error” there was a problem with your registration. If you experience difficulty or would like to have registration assistance, your local field representative or an academic advisor stand ready to help you with the registration process. MyUMUC Registration With No Class Number

  1. Log into your Student Portal
  2. Select My Academics
  3. Select Registration/Enrollment
  4. Select Registration/Enrollment
  5. Choose the term for which you’d like to register
  6. Select Add Classes
  7. Click the magnifying glass next to the Class Number box to access the Schedule of Classes.
  8. Enter a subject (e.g., CMIS)
  9. Select a Course Career
  10. Once you have found the class you want, click the check-marked box next to the section for which you’d like to register. The information will automatically be inputted into the registration screen.
  11. Choose the grading option for each of your classes. [Graded will be a regular letter grade (A-F scale). You may also choose Audit or Pass/Fail.]
  12. Double-check to be sure all information is correct
  13. Click Submit
  14. Check the success of your registration in the “Add Status” column.
