Policy Statements

Students with Disabilities

UMUC Europe is committed to assisting students with disabilities or medical conditions to the extent possible so that they are able to pursue their educational goals while overseas. UMUC Europe faculty are prepared to make reasonable accommodations for students with specific disabilities so that the students will have the opportunity to develop and demonstrate proficiency in the required subject matter and on the comprehensive examination. Students also share the responsibility for ensuring that appropriate accommodations can be made and are primarily responsible for identifying, documenting, and communicating their disabilities to the university. Any special arrangements should be agreed to in writing before the first class of each session and with the application to the comprehensive examination.

Students who want more information or who wish to file a petition relating to their disability should contact the director, Student Affairs.
