Description:
The course deals with systematic,
policy/project formulation and evaluation which takes place in formal
organizations. It presents the
processes and techniques for strategic planning, resource utilization planning
and an introduction to capital facilities planning.

Course
Objectives:
1. To
understand how to distinguish among needs, desires, requirements and wishes,
and correctly sort common organizational and personal concerns.
2. To
understand theories and concepts that underlie planning, budgeting and
evaluating in organizations.
3. To
consider current challenges for resources: human, time, dollars and things.
4. To
learn the forces that are at work in competition for resources.
Requirements:
Mastery of concepts emphasized in
required readings and class discussions will be accomplished and demonstrated
through:

The lecturer will be available before, during
and after normal class periods. In
addition, the lecturer can be telephoned anytime, including evenings, until
2300 hours
