COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this course the student will complete the requirements for the seminar paper as presented in EDCP 778A (prerequisite). The paper will be a proposed research project or a Counseling intervention program for a specified population. Additionally, students who are pursuing the Masters of Arts in Counseling will be required to defend their seminar paper before a committee of CAPS faculty.
GUIDELINES FOR ASSIGNED PAPERS: It is expected that all papers, even drafts, will be typed, double-spaced according to APA format (1994) and will be well written. Poorly written papers will be handed back for revision and will receive a lower grade. It is suggested that you have an outside person proof-read your drafts prior to handing them into the professor. Please plan your schedule carefully so that you do not miss your deadlines. Extensions will be granted only in circumstances that are beyond the students control. However, anyone wishing to turn in drafts earlier than stipulated is encouraged to do so.
SEND DRAFTS To: Dr. Marion D. Grothus-Magee, Fruhlingsst. 18, 69469 Weinheim-Ritschweier. Include returned stamped self-addressed envelope (Local Address). Drafts may also be hand delivered in Heidelberg on Wednesdays or as arranged. Feedback given personally by appointment, telephonically (at Student expense) or by mail. NO PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY EMAIL OR FAX.
