Directions and Parking
The UMUC main office is located on base NSA Capodichino in the Naples Education Center in the Admin II building, room G006. To find our location once on base, please park in the east parking garage and walk toward the main square. The office is located in the Admin II building on the ground floor, to the right of the elevators.
The UMUC Support Annex is located behind the reception area in the FFSC, which is on the first floor above the TLA hotel.
The UMUC JFC office is located in teh Navy College Annex in Building L.
Computer Labs
The UMUC-sponsored computer lab has 20 computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computer lab is accessible Mon, Thu, 0800-1630; Wed closed for testing; Tues, Fri , 1200-1630. During registration hours are the same, however, during distance education finals the computer lab is closed.

Testing Services
Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.
UMUC also offers a National Test Center (NTC) at this location featuring exams and certifications in a wide variety of subject areas, on-site support, easy scheduling, and the benefit of instant score results. Available exams include College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), Pearson VUE, and Excelsior College exams.

Additional Site Information
According to legend, the Greek colony Neopolis was founded about 600 B.C. and sprang up around the tomb of the siren Parthenope. Today, Naples remains a major Mediterranean seaport and has retained much of its ancient beauty and spendor. Medieval castles and classic ruins exist side by side with the industrial elements of the city. Naples is a large metropolitan area, and its downtown is similar to that of New York City, Los Angeles, or Chicago.
The Naples/Gaeta community is host to more than 100 separate commands. The civilian and military population has organized more than 200 social, professional, and recreational organizations, so whether you are active duty, civilian or a family member, the community has something for you. Lodging is available on a space-available basis at the Capo Inn on NSA Capodichino and the TLA at the Support Site. Dining facilties on the Capo base include Subway, a coffee bar, and the Capo Landing concession food court.
The NSA-Support Site installation, located near the town of Gricignano, is about 12 miles (19 km) northwest of NSA Capodichino. Along with the food options there is a fitness center with indoor swimming center, NEX shoppette and library located at Capodichino. At the Support Site, there is a bowling center, theater, library, fitness center, DECA commissary, Navy Exchange complex with a food court, O’Rhys Pub, Bambusa restaurant, U.S. Naval Hospital, DODDS elementary and high schools as well as base housing.
