Additional Site Information
The small Ghedi Air Base, connected to the Italian air base, provides equipment and munitions support. There is no lodging available on base, and limited dining facilities include a Shoppette and an Italian Mensa (chow hall). A library is available on base, as well as a fitness facility.
The municipality of Ghedi is located within the city of Brescia, located centrally in the northern region of Italy, between Milan and Vicenza. Brescia city center offers numerous dining and entertainment options. Lodging near base is available in the town of Montichiari, about a 10-minute drive from Lago di Garda (Lake Garda), one of largest lakes in Italy and a European tourist attraction.
