Directions and Parking
The UMUC office is located on the education center campus, building 123, on Conn Barracks in Schweinfurt. To find our location, please take Autobahn A70 to Autobahn A71, toward Erfurt. Take the first exit (Schweinfurt/Niederwerrn) onto German Federal Highway B303. At the end of the exit ramp you will come to a traffic light, then turn left onto B303. Drive straight until you reach the first traffic light on B303 and then turn right. This will bring you to the front gate of the Schweinfurt Conn base. After entering the base, continue driving straight until you come to a fork in the road. Veer right and drive until you pass the second tank on the left. At this point, you will see the garrison fire station. Drive straight across the road that runs adjacent to the fire station until you reach a curve. At this curve, turn right off the priority road and the education center is located on the right-hand side. A parking lot is available.
Computer Labs
The UMUC-sponsored computer lab has eight computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computers lab is accessible upon special request. The office is closed during DE testing week.

Testing Services
Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Schweinfurt is a beautiful city located in the German state of Bavaria. The Schweinfurt-Conn military community is comprised of soldiers primarily assigned to various military commands across Europe. The military installation includes a full range of support organizations including personnel, finance, medical and dental support, AAFES, a commissary, and the Department of Defence school system. Dining facilities include: Burger King, Popeyes, and a Shoppette that is open 24 hours. Lodging is available on post at the Bradley Hotel.
