Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the Miesau Education Center in Building 1329.

To find our location, please take Autobahn 6 in the direction of Saarbrucken. Exit at the “Bruchmuhlbach-Miseau” exit. At the end of the exit, make a left turn onto the main street leading into the town of Miesau. At the second traffic light, turn left. The Miseau Army Depot is located straight ahead. After you enter the installation and pass through the inspection area, please proceed to Bldg 1329.

Computer Labs

The UMUC sponsored computer lab has computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computers are located in an education center and the computer lab is accessible Tue, Fri, 0800-1630; Thu, 1230-1630.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

Miesau is a small Army depot, about a 15 minute drive from Ramstein Air Base.
Miesau is the home of the HHC 191st Ordnance Battalion. Dining facilities on base include a Shoppette. A German Imbiss restaurant is located directly outside of the base on the left corner next to the base. No lodging facilities are available on the Miesau depot, however there are guest houses in the village of Miesau and neighboring village Bruchmuhlbach.
