Directions and Parking
The UMUC office is located in the Rhine Ordnance Education Center in Building 286.
To find our location, please take Autobahn 6 until the Kaiserslautern-West/ Opel exit. When you exit the A6, remain on the off-ramp lane and you will come to the Opel traffic circle at the end of the exit. Please take the first exit in the traffic circle in the direction of Rhine Ordnance Barracks. After you exit the circle, drive about 30-40 meters, and the front gate to ROB will be located straight ahead. Once you have passed through the front gate and inspection area, take the first right turn onto a one way street. At the end of the street, turn left. Bldg 286 is located on the left side of the road and parking is available along the street.
Computer Labs
The UMUC sponsored computer lab has seven computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computers are located in an education center in room 2, and the lab is accessible from Mon-Fri, 0930-1615.

Testing Services
Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information
Rhine Ordnance Barracks (ROB), a military installation within the Kaiserslautern community, has about 2,000 soldiers and 75 civilians. It is the home of the 94th Brigade.
Lodging is not available at this location, however lodging is provided on the Vogelweh air base, about a three minute drive away, at the Vogelweh Inn. Dining facilities include a German Kantina and a Shoppette. Given the close promiximity of other installations within the Kaiserslautern community, most services are provided on other installations.
