Directions and Parking

To find our location, please take Autobahn 3 in the direction of Regensburg. Take the "Parsburg" exit and follow the signs to Hohenfels. You will enter the base at gate one. Once you pass through the inspection point, please turn right onto Warrior Way at the "T" intersection (there is a Community Bank on the right side of the intersection). Continue straight on Warrior Way as the road first leads down and then up a large hill. When you reach the post office, make a right turn. The education center is located on the right side of the street in Bldg 351. Parking is available in front of the building.

Computer Labs

The UMUC sponsored computer lab has eight computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computers are located in an education center and accessible Mon-Fri, 0830-1630

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

Hohenfels is home to the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMTC), a part of the JMTC located in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The post is located in the Oberpfalz, a picturesque part of Germany with easy access to the cities of Nuremburg and Regensburg and just off of Autobahn 3.

Lodging is available on base at the Sunrise Lodge. Dining facilities include a Shoppette, Burger King, Anthony's pizza, and Subway sandwiches. The German community of Parsberg is located about 20 minutes from the Hohenfels base and provides several hotels, restaurants, a train station, and shopping.
