Directions and Parking
The UMUC office is located on Artillery Kaserne in the Army Community Service Building, Building 203, room 5.
To find our location, from Munich, please take Autobahn 95 toward Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The Autobahn will end and become German Federal Highway (Bundesstrasse) B23 at Oberau. From Oberau it is about 13km to Artillery Kaserne. Stay on B23, follow signs to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, drive through the Farchant tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, stay on B23 by taking the right exit in the direction of Garmisch/Grainau/Fernpass/Reutte. Stay on the B23 in the direction Fernpass/Reutte (note: street names will change several times until you are on the Zugspitzstrasse.) Look for an ESSO gas station on your right, then turn right at the second traffic light after the Esso station on to Äußere Maximilianstraße. Cross over a small bridge and Artillery Kaserne will be on your left. After you enter the Kaserne, bear to the right. At the intersection, make a right turn. Take the first left and Building 203 will be on your left. You may park in front or behind the building. The UMUC office is located in the Education Center on the first floor of Building 203, Room 5.
Computer Labs
UMUC does not provide a computer lab at this location. However, a computer lab is available for the Video Counseling System (VCS) and it may also be used by UMUC students. UMUC provides a testing center at the Education Center; three computers are available there for testing and browsing.

Testing Services
Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Garmisch, officially known as Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is a beautiful resort town nestled in the Bavarian Alps on the German/Austrian border. USAG Grafenwoehr maintains a satellite site in Garmisch that provides community support to the George C. Marshall Center for Security Studies, the NATO School in nearby Oberammergau, and the Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC) Edelweiss Lodge and Resort.
