Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the Education Center, in Building 46.1

Computer Labs

UMUC does not provide a computer lab at this location. However, the U.S. Army provides a computer lab with access to the Internet and the lab hours are contingent upon the lab monitor.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

North Camp is a multi-national forces base (MFO), therefore the North Camp education center provides services to many nationalities. North Camp is located at el Gorah in northern Sinai, about 25 kilometers from the Egyptian-Israeli border. The base itself is about three square kilometers and is about 24 kilometers southwest of the border town of Rafah and 20 kilometers south of the Mediterranean Sea.

On base entertainment includes a public library, fitness center,  movie theater, and a swimming pool. No one is allowed to go on or off-post without special authorization.

An MFO bus commutes between North and South Camp, as well as North Camp and Cairo and South Camp and Cairo.
