The Blackjack Education Center (LSA Anaconda Education Center) is located on Muleskinner Blvd, directly off of Sustainer Ave. Starting from D-FAC 1, go east on Sustainer Circle toward the east of Victory Loop North. Muleskinner Blvd is located to the right after H7 housing.

Directions

BlackJack Education Center (LSA Anaconda Ed Center) is located on Muleskinner Blvd, off of Sustainer Ave. From D-FAC 1, go east on Sustainer circle toward Victory Loop North on the eastside. Muleskinner Blvd will be on the right after H7 Housing.

Computer Labs

UMUC does not provide a computer lab at this location. However, the SSG Matt Maupin Memorial Computer Lab is available through the education center and has 30 computers available for educational use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Students have unlimited access to the computer lab to complete homework and school-related activities. The computer lab is accessible daily from 0900-2000.

Additionally, a base library is available with extensive fiction and non-fiction sections, as well as a fully stocked reference section.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

Joint Base Balad offers three classrooms each having a seating capacity of 30 people. Also available is an auditorium with raised seating for 70 people.
