UMUC Europe National Test Centers
Take your CLEP, DSST, Pearson VUE, and other computer-based exams in our convenient locations.
National Test Centers (NTCs) offer on-site testing services to include College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), and Pearson VUE online examinations and certifications. Availability of exams is specific to your location. Please contact your NTC to see what is offered.
Who is Eligible?
Examinations are available to DANTES-funded active duty military servicemembers and eligible civilian employees and, on a space available basis, to all other examinees who have a US military ID card. Ask your local test administrator for more information. Please note: Eligible civilians will incur a fee for testing, contact your local test administrator for details.

- CLEP
Receive college credit by earning qualifying scores on any of 34 examinations. Disciplines include composition, literature, foreign languages, history, social sciences, science, mathematics, and business. Many professional licensures and certifications are available with a wide variety of information technology (IT) examinations to include Cisco, Linux, Novell, and CompTIA. Earn college-level credit in select subject areas by passing Excelsior College exams. Visit the Exelsior site - GED
The GED test credential is the only high school equivalency credential recognized in all 50 states. The test consists of five different test sections: social studies, science, reading, mathematics, and writing and costs $24 per section or $120 for all sections. To sign up for the test and for practice materials, visit the GED site. Tip: When signing up, select "DANTES Armed Forces" as the region in which you will be taking the test. - NTC Brochure

How to Apply
- Schedule a testing time with the local UMUC test administrator. See below for test center locations.
- Go to your local NTC and apply online for your chosen test.
(This may be done several days in advance of your exam or one hour prior, but on the same day, as your scheduled test time.) - Complete your test within the specified time limit.
- Receive your results the same day.
