UMUC Europe Payment Plan
Spread your tuition payments from now until the end of the semester -- interest free!
UMUC Europe is pleased to offer a convenient payment plan with 0% interest. The plan allows students to spread their tuition payments out over 4, 5, or 6 months. This new plan is just another way to help students meet tuition costs. You are also encouraged to apply for and use financial aid assistance - including loans, scholarships, grants, veterans benefits, MyCAA, and book awards - to help finance your education. With all options combined, reaching your educational goals has never been easier!
A payment plan provides an interest-free, debt-free way to spread tuition payments over a number of months. The plan administered by Sallie Mae is not a loan, so there are no interest payments, only a low $30 application fee. The plan allows you to break down your education expenses into easy-to-manage installments, rather than one lump-sum payment. It's simple and convenient.
Note: Once enrolled in a payment plan, students will make payments for tuition owed on the plan directly to Sallie Mae, not to UMUC Europe.
How to Get Started
- Enroll in your courses as you normally would.
- Visit the Sallie Mae Web site to enroll. In a few easy steps, your enrollment will be complete.
- Make payments according to your selected payment plan.
How and When to Pay
You may make payments online at the Sallie Mae Web site by credit card (American Express, Discover, or MasterCard only) or e-check. For even more convenience, you may also set up an automatic withdrawal plan from your personal checking or savings account.
UMUC Europe has selected installment plans ranging from 4 to 6 months. Please see the chart below for more detailed information on the payment plans.

Monthly Payment Plans
New Payment Plan Beginning Fall 2013
Beginning with the Fall 2013 semester, payment plans for UMUC tuition and fees will be administered by Educational Computer Systems Inc. (ECSI). All outstanding balances with the previous plan administrator will be rolled over to ECSI. ECSI TuitionSelect offers a variety of payment plans and schedules to give you financial flexibility by allowing you to spread out payment for tuition and fees over several months. You will be able to make several smaller, more manageable monthly payments rather than writing "one big check"-and there are absolutely no interest charges. You just pay a small non-refundable, application fee to enroll in the plan.
ECSI also provides
- 24/7 Web-based access to view your account, check your payment history and make any adjustments to your monthly amount or payment method.
- Ability to pay your balance in full at any time before the deadline without penalty.
- Automatic payment option-set up automatic payments to be withdrawn from your bank account or charged to your credit or debit card.
- Friendly, helpful customer care representatives who can answer your questions anytime by phone, e-mail or live chat.

Please note: Your plan must be paid in full before the last date of classes for the term in which you are enrolled or you will not be able to enroll in future terms. Students may be dropped from current or future terms if their payment plan with ECSI becomes delinquent.
