On-site Textbooks
When you enroll in UMUC Europe on-site courses, you have several options to obtain course textbooks directly from the nearest field site.
Option 1: Each session, textbooks are automatically sent to the site where the course will be held. Just visit the field representative and purchase one of the textbooks already on stock.
Option 2: For textbooks designated for classes offered at other locations, you may request the book to be shipped to your local field office. You may do so by contacting the UMUC Europe Textbook Office in Heidelberg, Germany, either directly or with the assistance of your local field representative.

Direct Shipping
You may prefer to have your textbook for an on-site course shipped directly to an address of your choice. Here’s how to request direct shipping:
- Contact the UMUC Europe Textbook Office via telephone Monday-Friday, 0800-1700 Central European Time or e-mail at edbookorders@ed.umuc.edu.
- Provide the name of the course, subject and catalog number, title of the book, author, and edition, if known.
- Provide payment for the textbook and shipping costs. UMUC accepts credit card payments from Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. If you wish to pay by check or money order, please indicate payable to UMUC Europe. Once payment is received, the Textbook Office will process your order.
- Provide a complete postal mailing address.
Please note: UMUC Europe ships to US military addresses for a nominal fee; however, if you wish to ship your textbook to a civilian address, our preferred providers are UPS and DHL. These shipping prices vary by location.
DE Textbooks
When you enroll in courses offered by UMUC Adelphi, Asia, or Europe campuses, you will order textbooks from that campus directly. UMUC Europe does not keep an inventory of UMUC Asia or Adelphi books, so textbooks for the same course may vary.
Example: You are in Ramstein, Germany, but enroll in a course offered by UMUC Asia. You will complete you registration through the Ramstein Education Center, but will order your textbook using the UMUC Asia order form -even though the same course may be on the UMUC Europe schedule.
