Proctored Exam Information for Students Enrolled in UMUC Home Campus DE Courses
All undergraduate students taking online courses are required to take final examinations in a proctored (supervised) setting during the posted final exam week. A proctored exam is overseen by an impartial individual (called a proctor) who monitors the student while he or she is taking the exam. The proctor ensures the security and integrity of the exam process.
The proctored exam week for UMUC Europe students enrolled in DE courses with our Home Campus is as follows:

Register for Proctored Exams - Please follow these guidelines to arrange for an acceptable proctor. Then register your proctor information through MyUMUC.
Students are expected to take all exams when scheduled. In the event of illness or extraordinary circumstances, the student must contact the faculty member and provide documentation to request an exception and approval to take a makeup exam. If the request is not approved, the exam grade will be recorded as a zero. Failure to register for a proctored exam is not an approved reason to request a makeup exam.
Make-up Exams - For more information and procedures for requesting make-up exams. Note: Effective Spring 2007, a $60 fee will be charged for all make-up exams.
